About the Speaker:  Megan Bentz has been dancing for 26 years and teaching for 11.  She has trained in all styles of dance, but ballet (and then pointe when she was ready) has always been her passion.  She was a dance focus at the Performing Arts Academy of Larkin High School, and even though dance was not her major she went on to continue studying and performing with dance classes and companies in college at the University of Illinois.  Megan began teaching after high school and worked for a summer camp company catering to high school dance teams.  In 2009, Megan moved to Indiana and started her own dance studio which offered ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop classes for dancers ages 3 through adult.  Now, she works full-time for Russian Pointe and is fortunate enough to still be able to teach, coach, choreograph and judge for local studios and companies in the Chicago suburbs.
