Moving Dialogs

On Tuesday, January 26th at 6 pm, Moving Dialogs presents “Women in the Director’s Chair” at Links Hall. The talk will center on “expanding definitions of virtuosity and the differences between early and late styles within a long-running choreographic career” and “examine the diversity of female artistry and how more equitable representation of the female voice in dance leads to tremendous discovery”.

Leading the discussion is Michelle Kranicke, the curator of the aMID Festival, which celebrates and examines the aging body in dance. Michelle will be joined by panelists Deborah Hay, Bob Eisen, and Cynthia Oliver. The discussion will be moderated by Elise Archias, Assistant Professor of Art History at the University of Illinois, Chicago.
