Thodos Dance Chicago, a vibrant modern dance company, will be showcasing new work this weekend at the Athenaeum Theatre in their latest show, New Dances 2016. Thodos, sponsored in part by Chicago Dance Supply, is unique because of their mission to inspire expression through dance education, dance creation, and dance performance. Currently in their 24th season, Thodos Dance Chicago has made a name for itself as an innovative presence in the modern dance landscape of Chicago.
New Dances 2016 is an extensive in-house choreography project which provides TDC ensemble members the unique opportunity to step backstage and call the shots as choreographers and directors.
New Dances 2016 will feature World Premieres by TDC Company members John Cartwright collaborating with Danielle Gennaoui, Tenley Dorrill, Abby Ellison, Alex Gordon, Hattie Haggard, Jessica Miller Tomlinson, Brennen Renteria, Briana Robinson, and a guest choreographer, Shannon Alvis.
